So, you want to go RVing?  What next?  There are many things to think about before you choose what type of RV is best for you.  The following are just some of the questions you might consider before you purchase or rent an RV:

• Will you use your RV for short day and weekend trips or take it on an extended vacation across the country?
• How many people does your RV need to accommodate?
• What kitchen amenities do you require?
• How much storage space do you need?
• Is there a specific floor plan you prefer?
• Will you tow other adventure vehicles such as a motorcycle, ATV, or waverunner?

RV Packing

Packing for an RV trip is like moving into an empty house or apartment. Kitchen cabinets are bare, bathrooms are empty and bedding needs to be stocked. The task of packing can be overwhelming, especially if you are a first-time RVer. A best practice in packing for a road trip is to compartmentalize your essentials into storage bins of varying sizes.  For example, packing all your bedding into one large bin and kitchen essentials in another.  And, store eating and cooking utensils in a small container that will fit into the larger kitchen-designated bin.  Be sure to label your bins for easy access; masking tape and a black Sharpie work well for this task.
